Puppet Making Residency with Les Grandes Personnes (France)
The Beat Carnival is hosting a 2 week long residency with French large-scale puppet masters, Les Grandes Personnes (www.lesgrandesepersonnes.com)
Opportunity to Join Open Workshops on head / mask construction
There are two Saturday workshops open to freelance artists, interested volunteers and community leaders.
Participants can expect an introduction to the craft of large-scale puppet building with examples taken from work in progress at the Beat Carnival Centre.
The main Saturday work will be on construction of smaller scale heads that can be done quickly and with available and recycled materials.
These sessions are free of charge.
