COME JOIN US: in the final week there are still opportunities to make lanterns in FREE workshops, for participation in the parade.

On FRIDAY 1st December 2017, show off your community spirit in the LANTERN PARADES.
• Big community participation highlight of Greater Shankill Winter Festival.
• Festive celebration to light up the Shankill Road with Lanterns and music.
Two parades portray wide neighbourhood involvement: one starts from Lower Shankill (Townsend Street) and one from Upper Shankill (Woodvale Avenue). The parades pick up some other lantern carriers at points along the way, as both go to the Mid Shankill finale performance at the Christmas Tree, where the event culminates with seasonal songs and the lights switch-on.
