Belfast St Patrick's Day Parade Cancelled

10 March 2020

Belfast City Council has decided to cancel the Belfast St Patrick's Day Parade as a precaution to prevent spread of the coronavirus through large gathering of people.

Beat Carnival company, artists, community participants, performers and service providers have been working on the event production for next week on 17th. Beat Carnival will contact participants and performers today, Tuesday 10th. We have been receiving enquiries about this since last night, but at the moment we do not know anything more than you have heard on the news or seen in Councillor's reports on social media, which is the crucial fact that the event is cancelled. Further workshops and programme sessions over the next week are clearly in jeopardy. We hope to be in a position to update the news soon.
