We’re thrilled to announce that Jo Lamont will be joining Beat Carnival as our new Operations Manager, taking over from the wonderful Jean, who retires this year.
Jo is an experienced and passionate manager who champions inclusivity, equality and diversity, with a strong belief in the power of the Arts to create positive change. She brings a wealth of knowledge from working with a wide range of artists, delivering impactful projects that uplift individuals, organisations, and communities alike.
Since joining Beatndrum Samba Band in 2011, Jo has embraced the creative spirit of Carnival – learning drumming, percussion, trumpet, singing in Portuguese, flag dancing and workshop facilitation. She’s performed everywhere from Belfast to Sesimbra, sharing joy and cultural celebration in parks, theatres, arenas and streets.
