Lighting Up The Road in the Christmas season

Take part in creating the first Shankill Lantern Parade – and light up The Road for Christmas!

We are inviting community, youth and school groups in Greater Shankill to take part in FREE workshops:

·      Lantern Making

·      Carnival Dance

·      Carnival Drumming

·      Street Theatre

Participation in workshops gives your group the chance to show off your Christmas spirit in the Lantern Parade on Friday 2nd December 2016.

The parade will start from Lower Shankill, 6.30pm at Townsend Street and meet the Christmas Tree Light switch-on at the Mid Shankill Community Garden for a finalé performance.

A Shankill Shooting Star will travel from Brown Square/Townsend Street to Upper Shankill and then back to the finalé location. More info later…

Contact Rebecca Boyd to take part and for more details about the programme.
