Belfast St Patrick’s Day Carnival Parade
12.30pm Sunday 17th March 2019
Produced by Beat Carnival for Belfast City Council
Registration for Belfast St Patrick’s Day Carnival Parade is now open! We’d love to have your group join in, whether it’s through our workshop programme or to show off your own performance talents!
Celebrate Belfast’s St Patrick’s Day 2019 by taking part in the City’s welcoming and inclusive carnival parade, this year themed around ‘Belfast – City of Equals’. Join colourful floats, street performers, musicians and people of all ages, from all parts of the City, marking St Patrick’s Day with a spectacular Belfast parade for everyone.
The St Patrick’s Day Carnival will assemble at Belfast City Hall / Linenhall Street to set off at 12:30pm through the city-centre ending at Writer’s Square, Donegall Street. There will be a free open air music concert organised by Belfast City Council at Custom House Square from 1.30pm to 4pm.
Workshop programme
We will provide community groups with 1-2 workshops to make something to use as a prop or wear in the parade. There are a limited number of performance (dance, street theatre) workshops available which require a longer-term commitment from groups. If you’d like to make use of these, please us call to discuss.
Performance Groups
If you have your own performance classes or set routines and would like to showcase your talents in the parade, get in touch to discuss your ideas, music and costume needs.
